Playing upwards of 200 dates a year, more than 2,500 shows in their career and selling more than 20,000 CDs independently, Zac Brown Band has only begun its ascent. The band's aggressive touring has helped it develop a fanatical grassroots following by winning over believers one person at a time. Driven by awe-inspiring musicianship, skillful songwriting and a dynamic live show that inspires word-of-mouth buzz, Zac Brown Band is already embraced by audiences who sing along with every word. “It’s kind of crazy how we can go to a place where no one’s heard of us before and by the time we leave people are singing the songs,” bandleader Zac Brown says. “We’ve got a great following.”

Rickijoleen, Mary Hoffman - 9pm; $5
With a voice as enchanting as her smile and the stage presence of a veteran performer twice her age, Arizona country music recording artist Rickiejoleen exits her teenage years with poise and confidence for the road ahead. A veteran of a variety of music venues throughout the state of Arizona and across the United States, Rickiejoleen has developed a tremendous rapport for those with whom and for whom she’s performed, making her shows a truly dynamic and interactive musical experience. A young woman whose presence is endearing to younger fans, yet commands the attention of long time concert-goers, Rickiejoleen combines finesse, style and spunk into a one-of-a-kind package of talent. After participating in the USA Network’s Nashville Star program in January of 2007, Rickiejoleen returns to Arizona to continue her trek as one of the top female country music recording artists in the Grand Canyon State. She is in the studio right now recording a new single; you can anticipate rock n’ roll guitars, bold passionate lyrics, along with a commanding edgy, but not disregarding her country vocal fundamentals.

The Texas native long has been known as an astute, clear-eyed observer and concise, no-holds-barred chronicler of the human condition, but a growing socio-political edge fairly exploded just prior to the 2004 elections when his scathing, palace-rattling “We Can’t Make It Here” was made available online as a free download. The seven-plus-minute diatribe against social injustice and the Administration’s hypocrisy and deceptions repercussed wildly across the Internet and the airwaves, igniting a grassroots firestorm that has brought legions of new fans to the singer/songwriter’s work. As of this writing, fan-made videos of “We Can’t Make It Here” have been viewed more than 150,000 times on YouTube.
